1. Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the relationship between Alpine Driver and participants of Alpine Driver tours, experiences and events.
Alpine Driver organizes guided self-driving tours across alpine routes in Switzerland. Participants drive their own vehicles or vehicles rented independently.
By registering for a tour, submitting a booking request, or participating in an Alpine Driver event, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of the Service
Alpine Driver organizes and guides self-driving tours.
Participants follow a guide vehicle along a predefined route and may stop at scenic points or designated locations during the tour.
Alpine Driver does not provide transportation services.
Participants:
- drive their own vehicles
- remain fully responsible for operating their vehicles
- are responsible for complying with all traffic laws
Alpine Driver is not responsible for the driving behavior of participants.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To participate in an Alpine Driver tour, participants must:
- hold a valid driver’s license
- be legally permitted to drive the vehicle used during the tour
- ensure their vehicle is roadworthy and properly insured
- comply with all applicable traffic regulations
Participants may be asked to provide proof of license or insurance if required.
Alpine Driver reserves the right to refuse participation if safety concerns arise.
4. Vehicles
Participants may use:
- their own private vehicle
- a vehicle rented through a third-party provider
Participants are solely responsible for:
- the technical condition of their vehicle
- insurance coverage
- compliance with road regulations
Alpine Driver does not inspect or guarantee the safety of any vehicle used during a tour.
5. Responsibility of Participants
Participants agree to:
- follow all traffic laws and regulations
- drive responsibly and safely
- respect instructions from the tour guide
- maintain a safe distance from other vehicles
- ensure their vehicle is safe to operate
Participants must always drive independently and are responsible for their own driving decisions.
6. Liability Disclaimer
Participation in Alpine Driver tours is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
Alpine Driver assumes no liability for:
- accidents
- vehicle damage
- personal injury
- property damage
- traffic violations or fines
- mechanical failures of vehicles
Each driver is solely responsible for their own vehicle, driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.
Alpine Driver acts only as a route organizer and guide.
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, Alpine Driver excludes liability for damages arising from participation in tours.
7. Included and Excluded Services
The price of a tour includes only the organization and guidance of the route.
The following costs are not included:
- fuel costs
- road tolls
- parking fees
- traffic fines
- food and beverages
- personal expenses
- vehicle rental (unless explicitly stated)
Participants are responsible for all additional expenses.
8. Bookings and Registration
At the current stage, the website primarily collects interest in tours.
Direct bookings may be introduced from mid-2026.
Submitting a form or expression of interest does not constitute a confirmed booking.
9. Tour Changes
Alpine Driver reserves the right to modify tours if necessary.
Changes may occur due to:
- weather conditions
- road closures
- safety concerns
- force majeure
In such cases, alternative routes or adjustments may be made.
10. Cancellation of Tours
Alpine Driver reserves the right to cancel or reschedule tours if necessary.
Possible reasons include:
- unsafe weather conditions
- insufficient participation
- road closures
- unforeseen circumstances
Participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
11. Participant Conduct
Participants must behave respectfully and responsibly during tours.
Alpine Driver reserves the right to exclude participants from a tour if they:
- drive dangerously
- violate traffic regulations
- endanger other participants
- behave inappropriately
In such cases, refunds may not be granted.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Alpine Driver website, including text, images, logos and branding, is protected by intellectual property rights.
Use, reproduction or distribution without written permission is not permitted.
13. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Alpine Driver Privacy Policy available on the website.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Switzerland.
15. Jurisdiction
The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be Switzerland, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.
16. Changes to the Terms
Alpine Driver reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The most current version will always be published on the website.
